Adam Treloar injury a setback for Collingwood after returning to AFL training

Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar suffered a minor calf strain at training on Monday and will “make a staged return to full training” as he recovers.

The Pies have not put a timeline on Treloar’s return but general manager of football Geoff Walsh said in a statement on Wednesday that Treloar’s training loads would be “wound back for a week or two”.

“Adam was feeling tight and came from the track as a precaution.

“A scan has confirmed a minor strain that will see Adam’s training loads wound back for a week or two.”

Treloar was training with teammates in a small group as the league’s restrictions eased.
