Despite the high-profile breach of social distancing laws by winger Josh Addo-Carr while on leave in New South Wales, the Storm have set a high standard in adopting social distancing and biosecurity protocols, which allowed them to resume training in Melbourne this week after spending their first week of training in Albury.
The NRL will announce its fixture up until round nine on Thursday, with games at Bankwest Stadium, Campbelltown Stadium, Central Coast Stadium, Suncorp Stadium, QCB Stadium (Townsville) and AAMI Park.
Acting chief executive Officer Andrew Abdo said the league needed the safest possible venues for its players.
“The competition will begin with a consolidated approach to venues. Each venue requires customised infrastructure to meet our strict biosecurity requirements. We’ve adopted a phased approach for venues should restrictions be eased in the future,” Adbo said.
