The woman and man, both in their 60s, died on Monday and Sunday respectively at the North West Regional Hospital.
On Monday night, Public Health Services acting director of public health Scott McKeown said the deaths have been referred to the coroner and won’t be counted in the coronavirus-related tally until more information is obtained. Both patients had serious health conditions on top of their positive coronavirus tests.

In Australia 99 people have died from coronavirus, and 13 of those have been in Tasmania. There were no new cases of coronavirus in Tasmania on Monday, with the state’s total stable at 226.
Meanwhile, Tasmanians will enjoy their second day of easing COVID-19 rules as part of three-stage plan which allows 10 people to eat in cafes and restaurants again among the changes.
The state is continuing to enforce strict border controls however, with plans for relaxing those still dependent on how the rest of the country manages the virus.
