The Blues and Tigers were also due to train on Monday, as were GWS, the Bulldogs, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Port Adelaide, St Kilda and the two WA clubs.

While restrictions on training have eased, players will be subject to stricter rules than the general public when it comes to activities outside of football.

The AFL describes the restrictions, including bans on playing golf, surfing, eating out even when restaurants open and taking their kids to the playground, as the “social licence” needed to gain the exemptions from government required to get the league back up and running after the coronavirus shutdown.
