Former Tigers forward in box seat for last Blues spot

Ex-Richmond forward Callum Moore is in the box seat to get Carlton’s final list spot after two other contenders were removed from the Blues’ train-on list.

Former Geelong player Jordan Cunico and teen defender Ryan Sturgess had both been training with Carlton in the hope of being taken in the pre-season supplemental selection period, however, an official AFL train-on list circulated by the league on Tuesday – seen by The Age – had Moore as the only player listed to train with Carlton.

Sturgess and Moore both played less than a half of Carlton’s Marsh series loss to Fremantle late last month, with neither having a major impact.

Both were dropped ahead of the Blues’ second Marsh series match against the Brisbane Lions.
