The man was punched, kicked, thrown to the ground and had his head stomped in a vicious attack, reportedly sparked by a text he sent one of the men’s girlfriends.
The victim, a man named Cody, was coaxed out of his home in Whyalla in South Australia before being viciously attacked on the afternoon of December 16 last year, according to 7 News.
The victim said he was drawn out of his home before being chased and attacked by the group of three.
“I got sort of baited out of the house. I was caught off guard by three guys,” he said of the attack that left him traumatised.
The bashing was reportedly sparked by text messages Cody sent to the girlfriend of one of his attackers. The girl is reportedly the victim’s ex-girlfriend.
Cody suffered a severe concussion, head wounds and a broken tooth in the incident. He said he had since travelled interstate to report the crime, fearing for his safety.
