Dixon boots four as Power take care of Lions

Port Adelaide tall forward Charlie Dixon has made a great start to 2020, booting four goals with the Power claiming a 21-point AFL pre-season win over the Brisbane Lions.

The 28-year-old, who only managed nine games last year, looked fit and in-form as the visitors secured an encouraging 14.14 (98) to 12.5 (77) victory in windy conditions at Burpengary’s Moreton Bay Sports Complex, north of Brisbane.

As well as Dixon, the Power were fired to the win by Steven Motlop, who had three second-half goals and 22 touches.

Both teams fielded strong squads for yesterday’s match, with draftee Mitch Georgiades and Tobin Cox running out for the first time for Port.
