Geelong will continue to manage Nakia Cockatoo conservatively after the injury-riddled speedster experienced a minor hamstring setback.
Cockatoo, 23, experienced hamstring tightness in recent weeks as the former No. 10 draft pick bids to add to his 34 AFL games in five seasons, of which only two have come since the start of 2018.
The forward/midfielder is poised to return to full training in coming weeks but there remains no timeframe on his return to football.
The explosive Cockatoo has been ravaged by a series of soft-tissue injuries since bursting onto the scene in 2015.
The Cats have repeatedly stressed that they will manage the Northern Territorian carefully to ensure his body can withstand the rigours of a full AFL season.
Cockatoo is out-of-contract at season’s end.
