Wetherill Park

A private investor has paid $10 million for a freestanding industrial facility in Wetherill Park. CBRE’s Elijah Shakir and John Tsoutsa negotiated the sale of the 23 Frank Street property, which has been home to Australian Aluminium Finishing for almost two decades. The sale was struck on behalf of vendor MA Seeto. It involves a freestanding, 4,719-square-metre facility on a site area of 8,622 square metres. The site is leased to Australian Aluminium Finishing until November 2021, returning a passing rent of $641,916 per annum net. “This equates to a sales rate of $2,119 per square metre on the building area and a net yield of 6.41 per cent,” Mr Tsoutsa said.

Charter Hall has announced Miriam Patterson, former head of real assets at Telstra Super, has been appointed as fund manager of Charter Hall Direct. The creation of the fund manager role reflects the strong growth of Charter Hall’s Direct business from $3 billion to $5.3 billion in the past 18 months. Ms Patterson will report to Direct chief executive Steven Bennett who sits on Charter Hall’s executive committee reporting to chief executive David Harrison.
