Early Christmas gift comes with a quality card at Wagga

Throw in promising Jerilderie gelding Moving On Up, who has been freshened after flying home behind Mixed Blossom at this track, and Canberra gelding Burradoo, who drops back from two tough runs in tougher grade at Rosehill, and it’s a short-course showdown from barrier to box.

Canberra gallopers also have a strong claim on the Ted Ryder Prelude, with smart gelding Supreme Polarity shooting for two straight wins at the track after bolting in a BM 66 by more than four lengths. Upper House also comes off an impressive win at home, and drops sharply in weight for this, while at bigger odds stablemate nine-year-old Le Cavalier will be out to blow them all away from the back carrying his lightest weight in a long time.

Out to spoil the national capital raid will be Wodonga gelding Wyangle, who has been ultra competitive in some good class races over the border before doing his best work late in the Wodonga Cup.

And in the heat of the Wagga Stayers Series, four-year-old Jerilderie mare Smart Style can turn the tables on early favourite Azaryah, who has won two straight for her new Wagga home since being transferred from the Victorian stable of Cindy Alderson.
