Babbel backs underperforming charges to turn things around

Western Sydney Wanderers coach Markus Babbel will not rush to make  changes for Wellington Phoenix on Saturday despite coming under increasing pressure after three successive defeats.

The German has come under fire from pundits and punters after a lacklustre month in which the Wanderers have picked up just one point from a possible 12 but has backed his players to turn their uninspiring form around.

“I trust every single player and I hope the team can show a reaction now, because we are not happy with the last games, especially in the last month – all of November was really bad for us,” he said. “It’s all about us. We have to work hard, we have to be disciplined on the pitch, we have to fight for the points. If we do it, then I am really optimistic that things will change.”

The team to face Wellington  will probably be the same as the one that fell to  Newcastle Jets last week.
