While Latrell Mitchell continues to fly across Australia in search of a contract, Cameron King utilised a manager that would both find him a club and spare him some jetlag: Twitter.
After confirming his exit from the Featherstone Rovers in Super League last week, King took to Twitter in search of his next job, posting: “Cameron King, Hooker, 90kgs, All round good guy, Enjoys hard work and winning, looking for a club, please RETWEET to raise awareness” for the second year in a row.
The post worked, with the 28-year-old announcing a one-year deal with the Cronulla Sharks on Monday.
“The first time I did it, I didn’t have a club, and I posted it out of frustration, and just wanted to try something a bit unique and different,” he said. “And then this year I just thought why not try it again.”
