Services are suspended between East Hills and Glenfield in both directions due to a fire near the tracks causing “hazardous conditions” at Holsworthy.
Adding to the pressure on the rail network is a fatality at Toongabbie.

Fire and Rescue NSW report the blaze at Holsworthy is out of control.
Sydney Trains said buses had been contacted to help with the situation.
Fire and Rescue NSW @FRNSW are currently on-site.
Bus companies are being contacted to source rail replacement bus services.

The delays will affect the airport train line.
Almost 130 bush and grass fires are burning across NSW after lightning sparked fresh blazes during widespread thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday.
The Rural Fire Service NSW today said 129 fires were burning in NSW with 66 uncontained. There are more than 1800 firefighters in the field.
Some 663 homes have been destroyed in bushfires this season and six people have died.
