It is unlike the usually bubbly Issac Luke to stay silent, but when the Dragons sat down for an “honesty session” during their first week of pre-session the former Warriors hooker refused to add his two cents.
Last Thursday, the Dragons sat around to evaluate the club’s image and to form a direction of where the players wanted to take the side for the 2020 season.
“They said, ‘the outside world what are they saying what’s our perception, what is everyone else saying about us?’ A few boys stood up and gave what they thought,” he said. “I got asked, what do you see from the outside, I didn’t want to say much because my club didn’t do well either.”
Reuniting with his “little bro” and likely 2020 skipper Cameron McInnes, Luke signed with the red V on a one-year contract, treading lightly to comment on the disastrous 2019 season that saw his new club finish 15th.
