Embiid scoreless as 76ers fall to Raptors

The Raptors (12-4) are 7-0 at home and have won 14 straight regular-season games at home against the 76ers.

Philadelphia (11-6) haven’t won a regular-season game north of the border since November 10, 2012, when they beat Toronto 93-83.

For the Raptors, Fred VanVleet scored 24 points, including two important free throws with 11 seconds remaining, and added eight assists, while Pascal Siakam had 25 points.

Josh Richardson scored 25 points for the 76ers, Tobias Harris added 18 and Al Horford had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

It was the first meeting between the teams since Kawhi Leonard’s dramatic buzzer beater that bounced off the rim four times before dropping for the winning basket in game seven of the second round of last season’s playoffs, in May.
