Melbourne Storm star Cameron Smith to continue playing in 2020

Melbourne Storm skipper Cameron Smith will play on in 2020.

The 36-year-old became the first NRL player to play 400 games this year but despite again ranking among the best players in the league, Smith questioned his future in the aftermath of the Storm’s preliminary final loss to Sydney Roosters.

But after some weeks reflecting on his future, Smith has told the club he will continue on in 2020 and he is set to return to training at the start of January.

While Smith was genuinely questioning his future, Storm officials were confident Smith would return as he has a contract for 2020 and is hungry to see the club win another premiership after disappointments in 2018 and 2019.
