Four more medals for Australia via Chad Perris, Madison de Rozario, Rhiannon Clarke and Guy Henly


Dubai: Chad Perris, Madison de Rozario, Rhiannon Clarke and Guy Henly have added to Australia’s medal tally on day seven of the world para athletics championships.

Four medals were collected from the five finals featuring Australians: silver for Perris (men’s T13), silver for de Rozario (women’s 5000m), bronze for Clarke (women’s 200m T38) and bronze for Henly (men’s discus F37).

Following a second day running when the team snared four medals, Australia are now seventh in the overall table with six gold, six silver and seven bronze.

Henly hurled the discus 51.43 metres to earn his fourth medal at his fourth straight championships having previously won bronze in 2013, silver in 2015 and 2017,  and now bronze in 2019.
