Kangaroos star Damien Cook has vowed to stick solid with Mario Tartak as the player agent insisted he had resolved the issue that led to his suspension.
The NRL suspended Tartak on Friday over a bankruptcy claim stemming from a personal dispute with American Express. Agent accreditation operations manager Paul Massey wrote to all 16 clubs instructing them not to deal with Tartak until while he is suspended.
Tartak’s stable includes Cook, Moses Suli, Corey Thompson, Jeremy Marshall-King, Luciano Leilua and Manase Fainu. Tartak’s clients – headlined by South Sydney, NSW and Australian hooker Cook – have vowed to stick by him. Cook was a fringe first-grader when he first linked with the six-and-a-half percenter and has gone on to replace Cameron Smith as the Kangaroos rake.
“I trust Mario, he’s done wonders for my career and I’m backing him 100 per cent,” Cook said. “I’m rock solid with Mario, he’s a great manager and a tremendous person who cares about his clients.
