Cooper Cronk joins Sydney Roosters coaching staff

Cooper Cronk will help the Roosters replace him by joining the club’s brains trust as a specialist halves coach.

Cronk will oversee the development of playmakers from the under-16 Harold Matthews Cup level all the way up to the NRL in a role that will keep him involved in rugby league.

The move is a huge boost for Sharks recruit Kyle Flanagan, young halves Lachlan Lam and Sam Walker and NSW hopeful Luke Keary as the tri-colours attempt to win three premierships in a row in 2020.

“Cooper’s experience and football nous is unmatched and it’s great to have him on board in this role where he will pass on his knowledge and work on the development of our halves across all grades at the club,” said Roosters coach Trent Robinson.
