Geelong cut Lachie Henderson, make further changes to list

Geelong swingman Lachie Henderson is on the search for a fourth AFL club after the Cats declined to offer him a contract for next year.

The 29-year-old has played 171 games in stints with the Brisbane Lions, Carlton and Geelong, including 11 finals.

Henderson, the No.8 pick at the 2007 draft, was a key part of the Cats’ back six in his first two seasons after switching from the Blues but has been hampered by persistent knee injuries over the past two years.

‘‘Lachie filled a number of roles with us and we wish him well in his future,’’ Geelong list manager Stephen Wells said.
