St Kilda’s star recruit Brad Hill had only been in Melbourne for two hours before he was asked if his arrival, and that of four more recruits, could propel the Saints to their first finals finish since 2011.
Hill, 26, moved to the Saints on the final day of trade period last week. The Saints received from Fremantle the three-time Hawthorn premiership winner and a future third-round pick. In exchange Freo got Blake Acres, a first-round pick (currently pick 10), a third-round pick (currently 58), a future second-round selection and a future fourth-round selection.
The lightning winger didn’t come cheap. No pressure, Hill reckons.
“I don’t really get stressed over that sort of thing. There is nothing else I can do than just go out and play the best footy I can and help this team out as much as I can.”
