Bulldogs’ Morris closes in on AFL comeback

Western Bulldogs ironman Dale Morris is set to do it again, with the defender closing on an improbable AFL return.

A year after Morris made a speedy comeback from a partial anterior cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee, he has repeated the feat after a similar injury to his left knee.

Morris was hurt at training in mid-March and will return this weekend, probably in the VFL.

“Provided he gets through training this week like we expect, he will make his long-anticipated comeback this weekend, which is extremely exciting for everyone else at the club,” Bulldogs medical services manager Chris Bell told the club website.
