“At this stage we think four to six weeks, they’re a little bit tricky obviously and do take some time.
“We’ll give him plenty of time and hope that he’s back not too far after the bye.”

Meanwhile, Hawthorn expect key defender James Frawley to play after being rested last week because of concerns about his hamstring while premiership wingman Isaac Smith could be available after missing the past fortnight with a foot injury.
Hawthorn play Port Adelaide in Launceston on Saturday afternoon and former Power player Chad Wingard will need to prove his fitness before being considered for selection against his old club. Wingard has played five games this year but has not played since round seven.
