Woman shares photos of injury after she was shot by gel gun while standing at intersection

The woman, 29, said she later “broke down” when telling police about the incident, which saw her allegedly hit with pellets from a “rifle” fired from a car by a passenger, who pointed the long barrel at her and fired.

“Coming out of St Andrews Hospital on North Street, going to cross the road, just been shot at with a pellet gun rifle by two little pricks in an average common dark grey five-seater car (not a ute or 4×4) out the front passenger side,” the woman wrote on Facebook yesterday.

“Passenger who shot me was white skinned. Not sure if any passengers in the back.

“Wearing peak caps and dark glasses so clearly intended to hit random targets!!!! They got me in the stomach.”

“I broke down once police arrived to my work after I had called the station to report and I went straight to station to give a formal report.

“They were amazing and so supportive. This will not be let lie.

“Scum need to be held accountable for their actions.”

The woman was standing at the intersection of North Street in Toowoomba after 1pm yesterday when she saw the dark coloured barrel through the passenger window, according to police.

Following a complaint made by the woman, police launched an investigation into the incident.

“Toowoomba detectives executed a search warrant at an Arrowfield Street address and located a grey sedan and three gel blaster guns,” Queensland police said in a statement today.

A man, 35, and woman, 30, are assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are seeking dashcam and CCTV of any suspicious activity, and urge anyone with information to come forward.
