Sydney fishing shop attracts police attention with offensive sign

The Fishing’R’Us Factory Outlet, on Parramatta Road in Auburn, features a slew of eye-catching signage, but it’s a message posted on it’s door that captured the attention of a local resident.

The resident, perplexed by the sign, contacted radio station 2GB, said he isn’t easily offended, but wondered what others would think of the sign.

The large sign on the front door of the business, features the C-word, and faces out onto Parramatta road — a major arterial road in the Auburn area, west of Sydney.

The sign, which says “YA SIC C***” was referred to police after it was flagged to the radio station.

Local police told news.com.au they are aware of the sign.

NSW Police said they are aware of the sign and are liaising with local council about what to do next.

Police ordered Fishing’R’Us to remove the signage from their store within 24 hours, according to 2GB.

News.com.au contacted Cumberland Council for comment.
