AFL to tinker with AFLW draft order

The AFL will tinker with the AFLW draft order in the coming days, providing further chips for clubs to work with could help ensure key trades can get done.

The first trade and signing period finished on Thursday, with expansion clubs Gold Coast, West Coast, St Kilda and Richmond’s respective lists taking shape ahead of the 2020 season.

The Suns, Eagles, Saints and Tigers all made a raft of signings, as they’d been allowed to do under AFL rules, while the eight existing clubs also re-signed a host of players.

However the moves of Brianna Davey from Carlton to Collingwood and Monique Conti from the Western Bulldogs to Richmond are yet to be finalised.
