A mass of video clips, screenshots, gifs and other juicy info revealing key plot points from the film — including its ending — have surfaced across Reddit and Twitter, CNBC reports today.
The film’s directors, the Russo brothers, have taken the extreme step of issuing a personally signed letter to fans, begging them not to spread spoilers. While the letter does not directly address the leak, the brothers plead with fans not to spread information that might spoil the surprise for others.
“Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help,” they write.
“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, in the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.
“Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.”

Endgame is under strict secrecy, with even those in the media unable to see the film until the release date. Given that, CNBC reports it is likely the person behind the leak had the clearance to view the footage.
Anticipation is high for this latest Avengers instalment: the Marvel blockbuster broke the Australian first-day presales record set by Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens when tickets were released earlier this month.
The direct sequel to last year’s megahit, Avengers: Infinity War (which topped the 2018 local box office with $61.8 million in ticket sales), Avengers: Endgame is expected to be one of the biggest movie events of the year.
Meanwhile, the cast of the blockbuster franchise sat down with news.com.au recently to talk about this latest instalment — and all shared one common complaint: their costumes.
“Most of those costumes are very difficult,” Jeremy Renner told us, prompting an immediate groan from co-star Chris Hemsworth. “I don’t like mine,” he said. “It’s really difficult to go to the rest room, and it’s also incredibly hot. It takes 15 minutes to get all the pieces of armour on, and then doing a fight scene is very difficult. It looks impressive, and it’s cool, but comfortable it is not.”
Avengers: Endgame will be released in Australia next Thursday, April 24.
