The AFL is expected to decide on Monday whether its integrity department will investigate Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin’s gesture towards an opposing Greater Western Sydney player on Saturday.
Martin was caught on camera flipping the bird and sledging an opponent around the use of illicit drugs after he missed a shot for goal during the second quarter of the round three match at Giants Stadium.
The 27-year-old Tigers superstar touched his nose and snorted before appearing to mouth the words “have another f—ing line you f—ing loser”.
It’s not clear whether the comments were directed at Giants ruckman Shane Mumford, who was playing his first game back after being suspended for the first two rounds. Mumford’s suspension came after video surfaced in the off-season that showed him snorting a white powder, believed to be from 2015 when Mumford was out injured.
