Worsfold said the club used several measures of effort and intensity and admitted the Dons weren’t up to scratch against the Giants.
“Some if it is just by eye, there’s obviously GPS numbers, which indicate if players are working as hard as they can. They all have bands that they know they can hit.”
The veteran coach also conceded that there were warning signs in the Bombers’ pre-season campaign, with no wins from two JLT matches.
“Yeah, there have been some trends there. I didn’t think that we’d take it into the season, I thought we were going to be covered off.
“How you deal with frustration is a good learning curve from that game [against GWS].
“It seemed like some of the wind went out of the sails, which we need to be better at dealing with.”
Worsfold said there were several players from the VFL who will be in the mix for a senior call up against the Saints, including Darcy Parish, Kobe Mutch, Zac Clarke, Dylan Clarke, Jake Long and Jayden Laverde.
