The hard-working Kent joined the Saints in exchange for pick No. 65 during last year’s trade period and will bring a toughness his team will need after a tumultuous off-season which has seen Paddy McCartin, Dan Hannebery, Jake Carlisle and Dylan Roberton unavailable for selection.
Kent played only five senior matches last year and missed Melbourne’s return to the finals after hurting his AC joint in round 23.
Fellow St Kilda recruits Matthew Parker (South Fremantle) and Callum Wilkie (North Adelaide) will also join him at Marvel Stadium, while Jack Steven (mental health) is a confirmed starter.
The Suns, another club desperate to atone for a tumultuous 2018, have undergone considerable change and will feature seven new faces, including top-10 draftee Jack Lukosius. He will be joined by former Cats George Horlin-Smith and Jordan Murdoch, former Tiger Anthony Miles and former Power defender Jack Hombsch as they attempt to revive their senior careers.
Reece Conca, Travis Colyer and Rory Lobb will make their Fremantle debuts against North Melbourne. The Kangaroos confirmed they will feature five new names – Jasper Pittard, Jared Polec, Aaron Hall, Bailey Scott and Dom Tyson.
